Pretty and unique property, even if not "luxurious"
PROS: Gorgeous property that lets you get close to nature. Spacious deck where you hear leaves rustling (and music from the pool, if that's your thing). The titular treehouses are truly stunning, especially at night when they are lit up. Kids and adults will love the pool, slide, and jumping off the waterfall. Friendly staff.
To be improved: Rooms can get hot--they are poorly insulated with only one air conditioner to try to keep the place cool. Sun pours into the glass doors. Not much to do besides relax at the pool, but you can drive the 20 minutes into San Juan del Sur. Getting to rooms can involve stairs or concrete stepping blocks (bad for roller bags); it took a while for anyone to offer to help us with our bags. We had loud neighbors who occupied the room immediately under ours and brought their own radio, which they played deep into the night while causing a ruckus on their deck. Disappointing when the idea was a quiet treehouse in nature. Also, there were several other empty buildings available; not sure sure why they were placed right underneath us. Pool music got loud, even though we were set pretty far back.
Other observations: Rooms are more rustic than luxurious, which is fine if that's what you're looking for. This is a popular resort for day visits. If you're looking for solitude by the pool, you might not get it, especially on a weekend. All the poolside tables and chaise lounges were occupied by day guests during our stay, although they eventually left.
